Get in the Mix
Ever since the Christian Church began, it has gathered for worship, teaching, and fellowship (see Acts 2). And since it's not broke, we don't intend to fix it.
Every Sunday we gather at the Free Methodist Church of Downtown Burlington at 5:00 pm. We're not doing anything extremely radical, but we find these gatherings to be the most encouraging and soul-satisfying that we've ever experienced. There is wonderful, relevant, Spirit-led worship through music; contemplative and deep times of prayer; "everybody time" for encouragement, edification, and revelation from the entire community; teaching from the Scriptures that is theologically informed, spiritually powerful, and real-life-impacting; and, best of all, fellowship and friendship with the family in Christ.
And we want to stress that while these gatherings are about rich worship in community, they are also about mission: We are pursuing a missional gathering, one which presents a table of friendship to whoever may come, so that those who don't yet believe can find an opportunity to begin journeying alongside us and experiencing the love of Christ.
