As you may know, Dwell is a church in Burlington, for Burlington; and we see the gospel as a holistic thing, pertaining to the whole person and the whole world. A couple months ago, some dwellers and some Old North End neighbors got together to help make the city a nicer place to live. Our crew took on the beltline, and made it look gooooood. Ya know, I've been thinking a ton about this lately because I'm gonna be a dad soon myself. It's amazing for me to think about that transition - from identifying primarily as a son and a husband to husband and father. And it's amazing to think about the impact my own dad has made on my life. If ever there was a dad who lived and worked to ensure that his children would worship "the God of their fathers", it was my dad. His incredible and loving leadership has been the most influential force in the direction my life has taken. Watching my dad live faithfully for Jesus all those years made it very hard for me to imagine any other life for myself. My dad showed me that this is the best life one can live.

I love you, Dad.
