What's in an -ing?
Dwell's structure is centered to move - meaning that we gather around an identity at the center of everything we do. Our Sunday gatherings are
the celebration of the center, and Jesus is in the middle
of it all.
But the center is part of unifying and energizing a movement. We are the church! And the church is God's mission, his plan for loving and rescuing the world.
Dwelling is about the movement, and it happens all through the week. Dwellers are dwelling in lots of ways: through accountability, through discipleship, through serving, through study, and through celebrating life with others. This kind of dwelling is dynamic, life-giving, organic, and intentional - get creative and be spontaneous! And it is highly missional as we dwell together in the city, for the city.
There are also scheduled opportunities to dwell together, and we encourage everyone to take advantage of these:
The Theophilus dwelling community gets together on the first and third Tuesdays of every month @ 7pm. We study Scripture together, pray, and encourage each other. Contact Zach to get involved: zach@dwellchurch.org.
The Aeropagus dwelling community gets together on the first and third Wednesdays of every month @ 7pm. We also study Scripture together, pray, and encourage each other. Contact Nick to get involved: nick@dwellchurch.org.
There is also a Justice Opportunity once a month on the last week of the month that the whole church is invited to take part in. Past opportunities have included serving at a homeless shelter and helping to restore a burned-out home. If you want to help out with a Justice Opp, contact Justin (justin@dwellchurch.org), Chad (chad@dwellchurch.org), or Val (valerie@dwellchurch.org).
If you're interested in dwelling with us more intentionally, or just attending our centered Sunday gathering, feel free to contact us.
