Getting to the Core
Beyond our basic mission, we have three core values that further define our community. These are the core commitments that make us uniquely Dwell. They are inspired by the life of Jesus and the early church as presented in The Gospel of Luke and The Acts of the Apostles.
Embody the Mission
It's not me, but we. We're a community of people sent to give witness to the presence of Jesus by embodying his mission to seek, rescue, and love. We dwell in Burlington to embody the good news of Jesus for God's glory. Luke 4, Luke 15, Luke 19, Luke 23, Acts 1, Acts 8, & Acts 20
Restore the Story
The Bible is God's inspired, authoritative narrative with the Spiritual power to change our narrative. As we live creatively into that story, the good news of the kingdom of God begins to restore everything that's broken - enabling us to live a better story. Create Justice
Gathering for worship is a creative experience of God's transforming presence. Worship = art, so each gathering is an artful and relevant reflection of the Great Artist. But worship also = justice, so our everyday lives must be creative reflections of God's right-making in the world. Acts 2, Acts 7, Acts 16, & Acts 17
