With well over 13,000 students and 4 colleges in the city limits, Burlington is a certifiable college town - which makes a relevant expression of church and Christian life even more vital for this area. There are many churches that have all but avoided our students because of supposed differences; but we know that we're called to love and serve them as Jesus would.
For Dwell, maintaining cultural connection with our students is vital; building genuine relationships and friendships with them is a must; and partnering with groups that are serving God by serving the needs of our students is massive. Dwell's relationship with Ben and Sarah Courtemanche of The Navigators at UVM is a huge piece of our mission to College St., and we intend to nurture and develop that relationship in the coming years.
Ben and Sarah are working tirelessly to love Burlington students with the love of Christ, in very practical ways. It's not just Bible studies or recreational events; it's help with moving, trips to the store, and endless mentoring sessions over coffee and breakfast.
